Stadtwerke Gießen congratulated former trainees on passing their final exams.

A new chapter in the careers of three apprentices at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has begun. Filip Lihl from Giessen, Marcel Schlennstedt from Lahntal and Christian Koch from Biebertal passed their exams at the Wiesbaden Chamber of Crafts and Trades and the Giessen Chamber of Industry and Commerce respectively.
the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. At a ceremony, Klaus Etzelmüller, Head of Technical Services at SWG, and the SWG training managers Ruth Biehl-Franze, Ralf Schlesinger, Hagen Luh and Georg Erb congratulated the former trainees and presented them with a gift. "We are completely satisfied with the training and examination results," explained Ruth Biehl-Franze.
SWG is offering all three young men the opportunity to be taken on for at least the next six to twelve months - Filip Lihl and Marcel Schlennstedt as automotive mechatronics technicians specialising in commercial vehicles and Christian Koch as an electronics technician for industrial engineering.

Training up close in Giessen and the region

In the region, SWG is not only an expert in the fields of energy, local transport and water. For many years, the company has been committed to giving young people the best possible start to their careers. Among other things, SWG operates a modern training centre for technical professions and has two full-time employees who look after the trainees.
In addition, Stadtwerke regularly informs young people and teachers at many schools in Giessen and Central Hesse about training opportunities. "It's important to answer pupils' questions and show them how exciting working life can be. That's why we also take part in the 'Chance' training fair in the Hessenhallen every year and offer a large number of young people a first insight into working life in the form of internships," explained Ruth Biehl-Franze.
SWG also took part in the nationwide Girls' Day for the tenth time this year. On 25 April, schoolgirls in grades 5 to 8 will have the opportunity to get to know the world of energy supply at the SWG training centre in Lahnstraße.
