Cost relief and climate protection

Would you like to reduce the energy and water consumption of your municipal properties? We would be happy to tackle this important issue together with you. The KomEM includes energy consumption monitoring, operational optimisation and the training of your employees. In addition to buildings, we also look at swimming pools, street lighting and business premises. Thanks to our experience, we have already been able to relieve some municipal budgets and thus make a sustainable contribution to climate protection.

  • Energy transparency and expertise
  • Only those who know and understand exactly where their purchased energy is going can control, target and reduce their consumption. The assessment of system technology requires (automatic) system monitoring and performance testing.
  • The way: Energy efficiency through energy transparency

Advantages of energy management

Energy management has many advantages for local authorities, but it also involves some effort at the beginning. Professional advice and support will help you to minimise this effort and achieve the greatest possible benefit.
The aim is for you to operate the energy management system independently after around three years. This is achieved through the gradual qualification of employees, appropriate software and the creation of corresponding energy reports.

Success is achieved through non- and low-investment options such as

  • Consumption and cost control
  • Systematic energy data evaluation
  • Comparison of characteristic values
  • Operational optimisation
  • Qualification and user sensitisation
  • Information and reports

Our offer to municipalities

Our services for local authorities cover a wide range of areas. We take the approach that these points are sometimes processed several times or in parallel.

Recording (meters, invoices, master data); initial recording of technology (HVAC, lighting, water).

Monthly consumption monitoring and evaluation: comparison with the previous year's values, plausibility check and visualisation of trends

During the inspections, minor anomalies (technical, organisational, operational) are rectified directly in consultation.

The control and regulation equipment is checked. If necessary and after consultation, optimisations are carried out and documented.

This annual report provides clear information on the consumption data of your properties. With the presentation of consumption trends and
It provides transparency for those responsible and serves as a basis for investment decisions.

An administrative employee is familiarised with the topic of energy management. Your caretakers are trained on a wide range of topics.

Expectations and goals

Based on our experience, we can say that initial savings can already be made through organisational measures. These are, for example, minor interventions in the adjustment of control systems and small investments. By regularly monitoring consumption and reporting back to the building managers, the reductions in consumption will also be available in the long term.

Potential consumption and cost savings through organisational and low-investment measures in existing buildings:

  • Electricity: 2 to 6 %
  • Heat: 10 to 24 %
  • Water: 8 to 12 %

With municipal energy management, you get:

  • Documented energy consumption data and energy cost transparency of the properties
  • Expandable knowledge about the energy status of the properties inspected and the condition of the plant technology used
  • up-to-date information on energy and water consumption, enabling you to sensitise users in a targeted manner (training courses)
  • Transparent monitoring of success in the annual energy report, in which the savings actually achieved and the efficiency measures implemented are documented
  • jointly developed, structured decision-making bases and recommendations for action
  • greater efficiency in a timely manner through the rapid implementation of organisational and low-investment measures
