Everything about Fabius
Fabius is SWG's mascot. Created from the idea of introducing children to the world of energy in a playful way, Fabius epitomises SWG's commitment to education and an environmentally friendly future. With Fabius, your children can discover and learn new things through fun and games. On the discovery tour page you will find lots of child-friendly content featuring Fabius and Ichmael the clown.
In the video format "On the road with Fabius", the little ones can visit various places together with Fabius, such as the Ringallee swimming centre, the natural gas bus or the Queckborn waterworks. The children can also recycle vegetable scraps with Fabius or discover the e-revolution in a playful way.
They can also try out handicraft recipes. Fabius will show how to wrap presents and bake biscuits. The highlight is the exciting experiments to do at home. Your children can recreate exciting and simple experiments.
If your children enjoy reading, they can take a look at our comics. There Fabius learns to dive or do maths.
Energy theatre with Fabius

This is the title of Stadtwerke Giessen's attractive programme for primary schools - initially on the subject of drinking water. This is already part of the curriculum for years three and four. All primary schools in Giessen and the surrounding area will soon receive comprehensive information on this subject. In the first year, ten primary schools will each have the opportunity to book two eventful lessons with Fabius, the mascot of Stadtwerke Gießen, and with clown Ichmael free of charge.
Fabius and clown Ichmael together in the classroom
In primary school classes three and four, Fabius and clown Ichmael (the artist duo Jeanette and Michael Rogalla) perform a play that is both educational and entertaining. Afterwards, the children act out the water cycle. The extraordinary visit ends with a quiz in which the primary school pupils can test their new knowledge. But this school day will certainly remain in the children's memories, as will the newly acquired knowledge about the important topic of drinking water.
Further topics are planned
The current programme is just the beginning. Soon, the topics of electricity and heat will also become an experience with Fabius at school. The aim is to explain to young children how important it is to use limited resources sparingly and thus sow the seeds for them to act responsibly as adults.
