What awaits the children in the energy theatre
The SWG mascot Fabius and clown Ichmael, played by the experienced artist duo Jeanette and Michael Rogalla, take the primary school pupils on a short journey through the world of energy.
The programme starts with an exciting and informative play. Fabius and Ichmael the clown explain complex energy-related issues to the children in a child-friendly way. The interactive design of the theatre play ensures that the children are actively involved and can better retain what they have learnt.
The theatre play is followed by a practical part. Depending on the programme, the pupils act out the water cycle or experience first-hand how electricity is generated and used through an exciting electricity quiz in the style of "1, 2 or 3". These practical activities help to consolidate the theoretical content and are particularly fun for the children.
Our current programmes
The sun also only boils with water
Our first programme is dedicated to the topic of drinking water and is aimed at year three and four. The children learn how important water is, where it comes from and how the water cycle works. They learn about the journey water takes before it flows out of the tap and how important it is to use this valuable resource sparingly.
Nothing works without electricity
Since 2024, we have expanded our programme to include the topic of electricity. The children learn where electricity comes from, how it is produced and why it is important to use energy consciously. The theatre play and subsequent quiz help to convey this knowledge in a clear and sustainable way.

The Energy Theatre goes on tour several times a year. If demand is high, the allocation will be decided by drawing lots.
