En5 project honoured

In the Giessen district of Lützellinden, our En5 team has implemented a climate-friendly heat supply for eight apartment blocks and 36 semi-detached houses with a total of 81 residential units. The special feature: different systems and fuels work together in a combined system with a heat storage tank.

The project was awarded second prize in the "Hessian Contracting Prize 2021 for Innovative Service Concepts" competition.

Five steps to success

Initial admission

Take a close look at your energy consumption with us. As part of an initial assessment, we analyse your heating system and obtain the data required for a subsequent energy-saving concept.

As part of a systematic on-site survey, we determine where and how heating energy is consumed in your company or property. This data collection is crucial for all further steps towards an energy-saving concept. This is why we attach particular importance to precisely recording the current situation in your company. In addition to the type of utilisation, consumption data and all geometric data, all other factors that are decisive for your energy consumption are also recorded in a protocol. If you are missing any documents, we can produce sketches or photographs for you.

Naturally, this work is carried out on your premises and in compliance with all the required security and confidentiality precautions.

Energy check

The second step is to assess the energy efficiency of your company or property. All the data obtained during the initial assessment is used for this and systematically analysed. With the help of special software and an extensive comparative database, your savings potential is visualised.

Your current annual energy consumption is calculated by analysing your consumption data. The consumption per square metre of heated floor space is also determined. This data is compared with the energy consumption values of comparable properties. The comparison with other properties in the same category makes it clear what savings potential can be realised for your company or property. As a rule, the potential savings are around 20-25 %. Naturally, the current climate data and individual characteristics are taken into account as part of such a comparison.

We prepare the results of this comparison in a graphically appealing way and provide you with the relevant documents after a presentation.

Efficiency model

Now that you know your savings potential, the next step is to utilise it. In order to turn the potential into actual energy savings, we develop your customised energy efficiency model.

The development of this model represents the actual core of the service, as it brings together the complex evaluation results as well as empirical values and a high level of technical expertise. Our engineers and technicians develop a customised roadmap for the efficient utilisation of heating energy in your company or property.

In addition to the necessary measures, the concept also includes a detailed investment plan for your system. However, we do not leave you alone with these investments - which are necessary for your savings success. As part of a contracting agreement, we take over the planning, financing, construction and operation of your energy systems. You receive everything from a single source. Whether heating or cooling supply, whether new or old building does not matter to us.
