Natural gas house connection

The grid or house connection is the connection between the distribution grid and the customer system. It begins at the branch point of the distribution network and ends with the main shut-off device or main fuse. We have summarised the most important information about the mains or house connection for you here.

The most important steps at a glance:

1. Fill out the application for connection to the low-pressure network together with your installer. You can find the application form on the page below.
2. Enclose the required documents with the application.
3. Send the documents to the Mittelhessen Netz GmbH (MIT.N) address shown below.
4. Plan the optimum location for your grid connection with our experts.
5. Once the submitted documents are complete, you will receive an offer from us, which you sign and return to us.
6. Your installer will submit the application for commissioning and gas supply.
7. They will then send the application to your responsible district chimney sweep, who will complete the application and send it to MIT.N. This application is used to arrange the installation of the gas meter.
8. You then make an appointment with MIT.N for the installation of the meter.
9. MIT.N will install the meter and you will use the gas from this point onwards.
