Max Palu alias Jochen Senf cycled in front of the SWG stage

Monika Montes from Wettenberg won Tatort role

Last Saturday saw the end of the first Giessen Crime Festival. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) took part in the festival with a successful closing event. On a stage in front of the SWG-infoZentrum, SWG offered an interesting programme between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, which attracted many spectators. Dirk Schäfer, hall announcer of the Giessen46ers, hosted the stage programme with the music band Browning, which interpreted various crime melodies, and the guest star of the day, crime scene inspector Max Palu, alias Jochen Senf.

Manfred Siekmann, Chairman of the SWG Management Board, and Jochen Senf then drew the winners of the prize puzzle. In total, more than 200 participants had guessed six of the seven famous criminals who strolled through Giessen's shopping area on the Saturday of the Krämermarkt. The famous crime figures were: Kojak, Emma Peel and John Steed, Columbo, Father Brown, Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple.

The first prize was won by Monika Montes from Wettenberg. She will be seen in a supporting role in one of the next Tatort programmes.

Horst Jünger from Giessen can look forward to a bicycle voucher worth 450 euros and R. Rotter, also from Giessen, receives a Saeco coffee machine as third prize.

The other winners are

Gerda Strasheim from Griedelbach (The smallest book in the world), Peerke Schmidt from Giessen (Darrè goods voucher worth 100 euros), Katharina Schinkel from Giessen (VVG goods voucher worth 50 euros) and Wolfgang Löhmann from Lich (gourmet basket from Jacques Weindepot worth 50 euros).
