Susanne Flack presents a colourful selection of her works in an exhibition

Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) opened an art exhibition with works by Susanne Flack from Wißmar at a vernissage on Tuesday, 15 May. Under the title "Works in acrylic and watercolour", the artist is presenting paintings in the SWG headquarters. The exhibition is rounded off with individually designed wall clocks. As host, Manfred Siekmann, Chairman of the SWG Management Board, was delighted to welcome the artist and her works to Giessen.

Hidden talents
Susanne Flack has set herself the goal of discovering hidden talents and developing her own creative powers. For the Hennweiler native from Hunsrück, who has lived in Wißmar for 17 years, art is first and foremost painting. This painting has developed into a special form of art using watercolour and acrylic techniques, in which her husband Kai-Uwe is also involved. Artistically designed clocks.

The painter is not only creative, but also runs the "Künstlerstübchen" in Wißmar, Zur Flur 22. Susanne Flack runs a small painting school for children and adults: under the expert guidance of the artist, children learn what is important when designing pictures and clocks. The artist is also an active member of the Wettenberg Art and Culture Circle (KuKuKu) and the Prisma artists' association. Her artistic preferences include landscapes and cityscapes. But Susanne Flack also loves to paint portraits, still lifes, detailed studies and abstract mood paintings.

How it all began
Susanne Flack discovered her passion for painting in 1996 when Kai-Uwe Flack gave his wife a complete set of watercolour equipment, paving the way for the painter. The hobby painter then attended numerous courses at the adult education centre in Wetzlar. With each course, she discovered more and more of her talent for working with colour. After starting out in watercolour painting, the artist also demonstrated her skills in acrylic painting in 2003. Also with success. The artist later rounded off her creativity with the individual design of clocks.

Anyone who knows Susanne Flack and her works knows that she skilfully uses bright and clear colours to express precision.

Anyone who would like to be enchanted by Susanne Flack's paintings has the opportunity to do so until the end of June: The exhibition is located in the entrance area of SWG's head office at Lahnstraße 31 in Giessen. Visitors can see the artist's skills for themselves from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and also purchase a work of art.
