Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has extended its sponsorship agreement with the German handball league club TV 05/07 Hüttenberg by two years. The regional energy supplier and energy service provider has been supporting the club for more than a decade and has accompanied the handball team on its way from the regional league to the first national league as a partner. Ina Weller, company spokesperson for SWG, emphasises: "We are firmly rooted in Central Hessen. That is why it is part of our self-image to not only supply energy to households, local authorities and businesses. An important principle in our corporate philosophy is to also take responsibility in social life in order to strengthen and advance the region. This includes involvement in the areas of education, culture, social welfare and sport. Our long-standing collaboration with TV Hüttenberg proves that even ambitious goals can be achieved if we work towards them together and believe in success."
Stadtwerke supports TVH's concept
In the coming years, SWG will also remain the jersey sponsor and will take on the role of main sponsor for TV Hüttenberg's professional handball team for the first time. Lothar Weber, Managing Director of Marketing Gesellschaft Hüttenberg mbH, explains what characterises the cooperation with SWG: "Stadtwerke Gießen is a very important partner for us and has been instrumental in helping us to develop handball in Hüttenberg over the past decade. The company has always stood behind our concept, the 'Hüttenberger Weg'. It is based on focussing on local players and talent. I would like to thank those responsible at Stadtwerke Gießen for this. We are delighted to have Stadtwerke as our new main sponsor this season. This commitment gives us planning security for the single-track second Bundesliga."
In addition to the professionals of TV Hüttenberg, SWG will also continue to support the club's youth programme over the coming years.
