In Mind and Stadtwerke present bobsleigh and luge exhibition in Giessen

From 15 March to 2 April 2004, the Heuchelheim-based sports and marketing agency, In Mind GmbH (IMG), is presenting a bobsleigh and luge exhibition in Giessen together with Stadtwerke Giessen (SWG). The speedsters, who otherwise only race through the ice channel at breathtaking speeds, can be marvelled at up close in the exhibition in the entrance area of the SWG headquarters. Anyone who would like to take a look inside a bobsleigh will have the opportunity to do so during the planned event. In Mind will be exhibiting a two-man and a four-man bobsleigh. Visitors can also take a close look at two luge bobsleighs, both single-seater and double-seater. The necessary sports equipment also forms part of the exhibition.

The presentation of high-performance sledges under the motto "Passion on ice" naturally includes a skeleton. This is because, unlike the lugers, the riders of the skeleton sleds descend the ice channel head first and lying on their stomachs.

IMG and the Giessen-based energy supplier will be welcoming the German luge elite to the opening event on 15 March from 3 pm. The multiple Olympic medallist and current world champion in luge, Silke Kraushaar, will open the exhibition. The luge athlete will be supported by David Möller, who is also the reigning luge world champion. André Florschütz and Torsten Wustlich, this year's doubles world champions, will also be taking part.

With this event, IMG and SWG want to offer sports enthusiasts a foretaste of the international bobsleigh and luge competition planned for Giessen in the summer.
