After Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) opened the gates of its outdoor pool on Ringallee three weeks ago, all fans of the outdoor pools in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden can now rejoice: on Saturday, 29 May 2004, both pools will be open for the 2004 summer season. Bathers can expect a water temperature of 19 degrees.
Outside of the holidays, the pools are open during the week from 12 noon to 8 pm. At weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays, the outdoor pools are open from 9 am to 8 pm.
During the winter break, both the Kleinlinden and Lützellinden outdoor pools underwent numerous renovations and the usual maintenance work.
There is also personnel news to report in Lützellinden: As the long-standing swimming pool attendant has been enjoying his well-deserved retirement since January this year, SWG employee Tamara Kolenberger is now responsible for all matters at the Lützellinden outdoor pool.
Admission prices remain stable. Single admission costs 1.50 euros. Adults pay 30 euros for a season ticket. A five-person ticket costs six euros and a season ticket for the whole family costs 60 euros.
