The boys and girls in the owl group at the Großen-Linden daycare centre will soon be fulfilling a great wish. "Soon the little ones will finally be able to make themselves comfortable on the huge sofa that we have been wanting to buy for our facility for some time," explained Christina Steudemann, head of the daycare centre, when Thomas Jaeckel from the Customer Services department at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) presented her with a donation cheque for the purchase of a children's sofa last Wednesday.
"I live with my family not too far from here. I keep hearing from friends and acquaintances that the teachers at the Großen-Linden daycare centre are incredibly committed to their work. With this donation, we would like to honour their commitment and at the same time fulfil a wish for the children," explained Thomas Jaeckel. The two nursery teachers Anke Zörb and Alexandra Siebert were delighted with this praise and agreed: "The sofa will certainly become a central place in the daycare centre for our little ones. They can leaf through picture books there or lie down and listen to us read them a story."
