The Reiskirchen district of Lindenstruth will be connected to the natural gas network of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) this year. The construction work by the Giessen-based energy and water supplier is already in full swing. This means that the first customers in Lindenstruth will be able to heat their homes with environmentally friendly natural gas as early as next winter.
SWG employees are currently laying medium-pressure pipelines from Reiskirchen to Lindenstruth. The municipal utilities plan to have completed the construction work by the end of 2005.
There are many reasons to opt for a natural gas supply: Natural gas is economical and offers a high level of supply security. In addition, natural gas is environmentally friendly and is characterised by very low carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Natural gas customers do not need to keep an eye on their fuel supply - natural gas is delivered directly to their home.
