There were beaming faces last Saturday at the infoZentrum on the market square. The Head of Private Customer Sales, Michael Rösner, took the opportunity to congratulate the little winners and present the prizes at the same time.
The 19 winners each received a magic box. Merlin's big magic school with owl trick is a real highlight for the little guests, because with the great tricks you become a real magician and can inspire your audience.
Michael Rösner thanked all the helpers who contributed to the success of the holiday games. Special thanks went to Ellen Rothgerber, who has been responsible for planning and organising the Water Olympics for many years.
The kids won as part of the Stadtwerke holiday games. The SWG organised
- as in previous years during the summer holidays - water games in its own waterworks in the Grünberg district of Queckborn. This year, a total of 570 children from Giessen and 12 towns and municipalities in the region accepted the invitation and tried their luck at the SWG Water Olympics. In addition to the games of skill, all children from the 18 participating groups were able to take part in an additional competition. Those who paid close attention knew the solution immediately. The SWG employees wanted to know from the little Olympians how long the waterworks in Queckborn has been in operation. 110 years was the correct answer. SWG drew 19 winners from almost 200 participants:
Elena Bender (Allendorf/Lumda), Irmhild Grether (Buseck), Ferenc Kretz (Fernwald), Danny Borrmann, Leon Gayk, Clarissa Hartmann, Tobias Beil, Kim Laura Biedenkapp (Gießen), Peter Schäfer (Grünberg), Ruben Maile (Heuchelheim),
Isabell Pfeifer (Homberg/Ohm), Lorena Brück (Lahnau), Nicole Krombach (Lollar), Johannes Schneider (Pohlheim), Patrick Zöller, Katharina Find (Reiskirchen), Christine Schuster (Staufenberg), Cathlin Meyer, Benedikt Hahn (Wettenberg).
