To coincide with "Water Day" on 22 March, SWG is giving visitors an insight into the drinking water supply for the city of Giessen. In addition to a visit to the Queckborn waterworks, there will also be a guided tour of the elevated tank near Annerod between 2 and 5 pm. A special item on the programme will be a tour of the filter system there. "One of our water engineers will explain exactly how we prepare our drinking water," says Michael Rösner, who is responsible for looking after private and commercial customers at the municipal utilities. "Anyone who has always wanted to see for themselves where the drinking water comes from should definitely not miss this free tour." Last year alone, a good one thousand interested people took the opportunity to take a look at the technology "behind the tap".
