Express bus line 1: no journeys during the summer holidays

The express bus, which has been running on route 1 since March, will be suspended for the entire summer holidays. Passengers will be able to use the additional service between Berliner Platz and Sophie-Scholl-Schule again from 7 September.

Giessen. Since March, an additional express bus has been running on route 1 between the stops Berliner Platz and Sophie-Scholl-Schule in Rödgener Straße - without a stop in between, Monday to Friday from 1.50 pm to 9.52 pm. Due to the usually significantly lower passenger numbers during the summer holidays, this service will not be available from 27 July to 4 September inclusive. "We are using the holiday period to incorporate the findings of the past few months into our timetable concept. When school starts on 7 September, the express bus service will resume," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at Stadtwerke Gießen.
