From Tuesday morning, 13 February 2018, civil engineering work will start in Grünbergerstraße - between the junction to Rödgener Straße and Heyerweg at house number 229. The reason for this: a leaking transport pipe for the water supply. It is not yet clear how long the repair will take.
During the work, the traffic routing will change in the construction section. Vehicles travelling out of town will continue to use the right-hand lane. However, the regular lane into the city will remain closed and traffic heading towards the city centre will use the middle lane instead. This lane is normally used by vehicles travelling out of the city centre to turn left into Heyerweg. From Tuesday morning, this will be possible via the right-hand lane out of the city centre. Stadtwerke Gießen will provide information in good time about when the work will be completed and when traffic can flow normally again.
