On Monday, 17 September, Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) is offering interested parties a look behind the scenes of the water supply. During the tour, participants will find out where the drinking water that flows out of the taps in Giessen households comes from. As a rule, SWG only organises tours of the waterworks in Queckborn for groups of children or adults with a larger number of participants. However, this tour also offers individuals the opportunity to find out where Giessen's drinking water comes from.
Take advantage of free places
If you would like to secure one of the free places, you have until Friday 14 September to do so. Simply send an e-mail with your first name and surname to Energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de. Anyone wishing to register by telephone can do so from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 0641 708-1139.
The meeting point for the tour is at 2 pm in front of the infoCentre on the market square in Giessen. From there, visitors take a bus to the waterworks together. At the waterworks, visitors not only learn about the origin of the water, but also about its quality. The programme also includes a tour of an elevated tank.
