SWG with a large anniversary stand at the Bauexpo

From 9 to 12 February, Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will be represented with an anniversary stand at Bauexpo 2006. The trade exhibition is the largest of its kind in the region and offers a comprehensive platform for anyone who wants to find out more about building and living, and interested parties can find the SWG stand in Hall 4 of the Hessenhallen in Giessen.

Visitors can expect to find a lot of specialised information about natural gas as an energy source. This is because SWG wants to demonstrate the wide range of applications that natural gas offers consumers. "And there are indeed quite a few," comments Michael Rösner, Head of Private Customer Sales at SWG, who is also responsible for providing energy advice at the infoCentre on the market square, "Heating with natural gas, using condensing boiler technology and heating water are already the most common ways of using natural gas in many households. In the new-build sector alone, we are seeing connection rates of more than 90%. At our Bauexpo stand, we from the energy consulting team will be on hand to answer any questions customers may have about natural gas heating." It will also be interesting to delve even further into its use - be it at the summer barbecue party on the garden terrace, when the sausages prepared with a natural gas barbecue provide a pleasant taste experience and the barbecue night can last a long time because the natural gas-powered patio heater provides pleasant warmth, or be it the energy-saving and thus cost-saving variant of the tumble dryer, which is also powered by natural gas.

The highlight of the SWG exhibition will be the cookery demonstrations by three TV chefs. On Friday, 10 February, Martin Baudrexel, known from the RTLII programme "Die Kochprofis", will give his best on the natural gas cooker. Visitors can already look forward to these culinary experiences. Saturday will be organised by TV chef Jochen Mitze, Sunday by TV chef Sante de Santis. Both have often faced each other in cookery duels. The cookery demonstrations will be hosted by Giessen's best-known nutritionist Franca Mangiameli, who has appeared several times as a consultant on Johannes B. Kerner shows. The natural gas topics at the SWG stand will be rounded off with information on natural gas vehicles, which are becoming increasingly popular in the Central Hesse region. In its second year of operation, SWG has recorded an increase of more than 200% in the sales statistics for its natural gas filling station in Marburger Strasse in Giessen. In its anniversary year, SWG is offering subsidies for natural gas supplies for almost all possible applications. Comprehensive information can be obtained directly from the SWG experts at the stand.
