The season at the local swimming pools is drawing to a close

In Kleinlinden and Lützellinden, the outdoor swimming season ends on 30 August.

On Sunday, 30 August 2026, the outdoor swimming pools in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden will open for the last time this season. The exceptional summer, which saw many hot days towards the end, meant that significantly more people visited the two local swimming pools to cool off, swim a few lengths or simply spend a few relaxing hours in the summer sun. In total, Giessen’s swimming pools welcomed around 27,500 bathers over 91 opening days – over 5,000 more visitors than in 2025.

However, the season in Giessen isn’t quite over yet. In fact, the Ringallee outdoor pool will remain open for at least another two weeks. This is also important for holders of season tickets for the district swimming pools, as these tickets will remain valid at the Ringallee outdoor pool after 30 August until it closes.
