Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) congratulates five trainees on successfully passing their final exams. Four of the trainees are starting their future careers at SWG.
Giessen. Completing an apprenticeship is crucial for a successful professional future. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is well aware of this and congratulates its trainees Selina Hefter, Marco Labellarte, Jonathan Schmitt, Freddy Schomber and Jens Reisz on passing their final exams at the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). On 3 July, Matthias Funk, Technical Director of SWG, Hagen Luh and Ruth Biehl-Franze, training managers at SWG, and SWG Works Council member Udo Handloser presented them with their certificates at a ceremony.
Career start at SWG
However, four junior employees were not only delighted with their excellent training and examination results. Over the next twelve months, industrial clerks Selina Hefter and Marco Labellarte will be putting their skills to the test at SWG Customer Services. Jonathan Schmitt is starting his career as a pool attendant in the pool operations department. And Freddy Schomber, who brought forward his examination to become an electronics technician for industrial engineering by six months and passed with flying colours, will remain with the company in the heat supply department. Jens Reisz, a newly qualified mechanical and plant engineer, is continuing his career with another company in the region.
Regional responsibility
Stadtwerke Gießen not only assumes responsibility in terms of energy supply and water delivery, but also in terms of training. As one of the largest employers in the region, the company has been training apprentices in interesting professions for many years - both in the commercial and technical fields. "In this way, we provide committed young people with a solid basis for their careers and ensure that we ourselves have qualified specialists," explained Matthias Funk.
