Making beautiful things possible
Events such as the city festival or the Giessen Summer of Culture attract a large audience year after year. Of course, people from the region come to celebrate here, but also from further afield. This makes the city centre party and the concert series on the Schiffenberg real flagships for the city. But they would not be possible without the support of sponsors. Because we firmly believe that cultural events play an important role in society, we are happy to contribute to their success.
Mathematics centre
The Mathematikum, the attractive hands-on museum in Liebigstraße in Giessen, is very similar. Its success far beyond Giessen's borders is based on exhibits made in the museum's own workshop. These are not just displayed in showcases, but are used on a daily basis - sometimes intensively. As a result, they need a lot of care, which entails ongoing costs. Because we like the concept, we are sponsoring one of these exhibits. In this way, we are helping the museum to make an otherwise rather dry mathematical problem understandable in the literal sense. So that many visitors in the future - especially schoolchildren - will be able to experience the usually brittle subject of maths in a different and probably completely new way.
Laying the foundation stone
Saving energy is the order of the day. And more urgent than ever before. To raise children's awareness of the careful use of limited resources, we have created the Energy Theatre with Fabius. Its concept: primary schools can invite our mascot Fabius and the clown Ichmael for a morning. The two explain important concepts and connections in a theatre play. In a way that is suitable for children, sometimes serious, but always with a good dose of fun. And to ensure that as much as possible is remembered, Fabius and Ichmael always actively involve their audience. Naturally, there are no costs for the schools.
