Take the city bus to the concert

MIT.BUS is once again offering special trips for the Musical Summer 2026.

From brass band music to rock and classical music - the Musical Summer has been attracting numerous people to the Schiffenberg for five decades. This year, those responsible at the City of Giessen's Department of Culture have once again put together a varied programme. Music enthusiasts can travel to and from the event in comfort using public transport. MIT.BUS, the local transport subsidiary of Stadtwerke Gießen, has organised special trips for the events, which take place on Fridays and Saturdays. In other words, on weekdays when line 801/802 does not normally run up to the Schiffenberg.

There will also be additional journeys on Sunday, 7 June 2026 and Sunday, 21 June 2026.

These will ensure that visitors can get back to Giessen by bus after the end of the respective concerts. The special trips will be operated as route 806 and the regular RMV fare will apply.

Important to know: All additional journeys run between the stops "Berliner Platz" (in front of the Kongresshalle) and "Schiffenberg". They serve all stops along the route. MIT.BUS will publish the exact timetables for all additional journeys on its website in good time before the respective concert weekend.
