Stadtwerke Gießen is sponsoring FC Turabdin-Babylon Pohlheim e.V. for the next three years.

FC Turabdin-Babylon Pohlheim e.V. is on course for success. After the club achieved spectacular promotion to the Hesse Football League in the 2024/2025 season, it has now also hit the jackpot in terms of sponsorship. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is now supporting the club for the next three years.

A strong signal for sporting togetherness

The club, which emerged from FC Babylon Pohlheim e.V. and Turabdin Suryoyo Gießen e.V., has established itself over the years as a permanent fixture in regional football and is successfully committed to promoting young talent and sporting togetherness. Company spokesperson Ulli Boos is looking forward to the collaboration and emphasises: "With FC Turabdin-Babylon Pohlheim, we are supporting a club that is not only successful in sport, but is also committed to socially important values such as respect and team spirit through its youth work."

The 2024/25 season was a particular milestone: the first team secured the championship in the Hessen-Mitte league and celebrated promotion to the Hessenliga - and the second team and the youth departments also enjoyed success. "I am incredibly proud of our dedicated team. We are delighted to have made it into the Hessenliga. Now we have to prove that we have earned this success and have come to stay. We are delighted to have Stadtwerke Gießen as a strong partner at our side on this journey," explains Christian Memmarbachi, Sporting Director at FC Turabdin-Babylon Pohlheim e.V.
