In 2019, the traditional Wäldchesfest on the Schiffenberg, to which the Giessen fifties associations invite, will take place on 15 September. Due to the expected number of visitors, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is once again organising additional buses between the Berliner Platz and Schiffenberg stops this year. "This will enable even more guests to get to the Wäldchesfest in comfort from the city centre," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at SWG.
Experience has shown that many people want to get out into the countryside in the morning to celebrate. That's why SWG is offering trips to the Schiffenberg from 9.51 a.m. this Sunday - at 30-minute intervals: 9.51 a.m., 10.21 a.m., 10.51 a.m., 11.21 a.m. and 11.51 a.m. From 12.51 pm, the buses on route 6 will once again run at regular hourly intervals. The last journey in the direction of Schiffenberg starts at 5.51 pm at Berliner Platz. The last bus in the direction of the city centre leaves Schiffenberg at 6.06 pm, as planned in the timetable.
If passengers have any questions, the advisors at the mobility centre in the Stadtwerke Gießen customer centre on Marktplatz are available to answer them - by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or in person. Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
SWG also publishes the current timetables and information on special transport services on its website at www.swg-verkehr.de.
