To mark its 75th anniversary, Stadtwerke Gießen is bringing a German star to Gießen: Nena. The singer, who has been successful for around 30 years, will perform as the main act at the SWG benefit concert in aid of the Tour of Hope on 29 June on the SWG premises in Lahnstraße. The Giessen band Neoh will be the support act. "We are delighted to have secured such a well-known artist for this good cause and our anniversary celebration," explains SWG company spokesperson Ina Weller, adding: "Anyone who wants to be there can secure their tickets now. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Tour of Hope." Tickets have recently gone on sale online and at several advance booking offices in Giessen - including the SWG customer centre on the market square.
