Every year, young people in Giessen complete their training as industrial clerks. This marks the end of their time at the Max Weber School. This year, their graduation ceremony took place at Stadtwerke Gießen.

They have made it: 25 newly qualified industrial clerks met at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) to receive their final certificates from Max Weber School. "We are delighted to be able to celebrate at Stadtwerke Giessen this time," explained Anne Koppe in her speech. As a class teacher, she has accompanied a large number of the graduates over the past few years. In fact, it is customary at the Max Weber School to present the certificates at the various training companies. "A nice tradition," says Hans-Jürgen Schulz, authorised signatory and Head of Human Resources & Organisation at SWG. "We are happy to provide a suitable setting for this small celebration."

A lot taken away
18 of the 25 young trainees completed three years of training, seven the two-year variant. "You have all developed positively during your time at vocational school," says class teacher Franz Josef Grewing, praising his former protégés. His colleague Anne Koppe emphasises their achievements at school: "We are very pleased with what you have shown over the last few years. Keep up the good work."
Speaking of performance: the ceremonial presentation of certificates at the Max Weber School always includes honouring the best students of the year. This time, five vocational students impressed with outstanding average grades: Lena Schumacher (1.3), Kira Schnell (1.4), Tim Benjamin Frank (1.5), Marcel Görnert (1.5) and Celine Philipp (1.5). "That's more than impressive," commented Hans-Jürgen Schulz on the results, adding: "As a representative of Stadtwerke, I am of course particularly pleased that Celine Philipp, one of our former trainees, is among the top five this year. But I am even more pleased that she will be staying with us for at least another year."
