
On Wednesday, 15 salespeople from the car dealerships Neils und Kraft, Auto Rauch GmbH, Schwammel und Gnau, Autohaus Gießen and Auto Mahr accepted the invitation from Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) to an information event on natural gas vehicles and their sales opportunities. Together with the speaker Thomas Wöber, Managing Director of gibgas consulting from Munich, SWG presented everything worth knowing about natural gas vehicles. At the beginning of the event, Thomas Wöber explained the market development of the vehicles. The fact that natural gas is not only economical but also environmentally friendly was nothing new for the participants. However, the information about the petrol station network, vehicle technology and the various vehicle types was interesting. Together with the car salespeople, the speaker took a look at the target groups for natural gas vehicles. The participants agreed that the natural gas fleet should be seen as a new market opportunity for the car trade. After all, the unrivalled low price and environmental benefits of natural gas as a fuel are what set it apart. With all this information, the most important part - the refuelling process - could not be left out. At Markus Mederer's Aral petrol station at Marburger Straße 229 in Giessen, the sales staff were able to see for themselves how quick and easy it is to fill up with natural gas. The infoCentre is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
