Winners of the Fan41 campaign received prizes at the home match against Nuremberg

The countdown is over and the Giessen46ers have made it - the basketball team remains first-class. And the fans of the Giessen46ers are just as first-class. During the hot phase of the fight to stay in the league, not only the professional basketball players had to give their all, but also the fans. At times, the games in Giessen's Osthalle were a real nail-biter, but the fans created the right atmosphere at the home games and helped their team to important victories and thus to stay in the league. As a thank-you for this support, the Giessen46ers and Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) were looking for the super fans of the season.

The superfans

With 1306 points, Luci Gattus beat off the competition to become the superfan of the Giessen46ers 2007. Luci Gattus was delighted to receive two season tickets for the coming season, a signed ball and the season DVD. Second place went to Anna Lena Opper and her Rottweiler in a fan jersey, who received a dog bone from 46ers mascot Fabius as a prize. Juliana Schmid-Pfähler from Giessen came third. But it wasn't just the super fans who were delighted with the prizes. Three prizes were chosen from among the participants in the voting.

How were the superfans chosen?

During a photo competition before the 46ers' home games, the fans were able to show what they are made of. The loyal supporters had themselves photographed in "fan pose". After the games, players, fans, friends and acquaintances of the Superfans voted for their favourites. More than 80 potential fans stood for election and wanted to become the 46ers' superfan.
