Strong partner for grid connection

In the "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series, Stadtwerke Gießen will be providing information on 30 May about the simple way to a secure grid connection.

They connect buildings to the supply networks: the connections for electricity, natural gas, heat or water. Because these connections are usually underground and permanently installed, once a decision has been made, it is usually difficult and costly to correct it. It is therefore advisable to consider important points as early as the planning phase. This is precisely where Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) helps its customers. "We talk through everything important about the house connections with the building owners and then get down to realising them," says Moritz Müller, energy consultant at SWG, describing the typical procedure. In his presentation from the SWG series "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" on 30 May, he explains in detail what needs to be considered in advance and what services SWG offers.

Strong partners

From their many years of experience, Moritz Müller and his colleagues know how important it is for people who are building new homes to receive all the necessary information on the subject of energy and water connections at an early stage. "If you can understand what work is needed and why, you'll make the better decision," Moritz Müller is certain. For this reason, he provides the necessary background knowledge in his online lecture - from building site electricity to the most sensible connection variant for the building. "A multi-line house connection usually offers advantages over several individual connections because all cables enter the house through just one entry point," emphasises the energy consultant. This variant saves space and keeps the basement room more usable. And the single opening through the outer wall can also be sealed much better than four different ones.

Conveniently from home
The lecture series will once again take place online this year. If you would like to attend the lecture "Grid connections from your municipal utilities" on Tuesday 30 May at 5.30 pm, please register by 28 May at energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de. As 29 May is a public holiday, participants will receive the link to the event on the day of the event rather than the day before, as is usually the case. Questions arising from the presentation will be answered directly.
