The trade union ver.di has called a strike for 25 April 2024. As a result, there will be no city buses in Giessen on Thursday.

Following the failure of the first round of negotiations, the trade union ver.di has once again called for a warning strike. In Giessen, the appeal is aimed at all drivers of MIT.BUS GmbH and thus at the vast majority of those who drive buses through Giessen. In addition, ver.di is also calling on drivers from Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) to join the strike in solidarity. As a result, all Giessen city buses will remain in the depot on 25 April - i.e. lines 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 800, 801 and 802.
SWG asks all passengers to be prepared for the strike and to apologise for any possible restrictions.

All information on the timetable changes is available by calling 0641 708-1400, on the Internet at www.swg-verkehr.de or at the RMV mobility centre in Giessen in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm. SWG can also be contacted by e-mail: mobizentrale@stadtwerke-giessen.de
