On Wednesday, 14 February from 2 pm to 10 pm, the station stop will not be available for city buses. Lines 2, 5, 10, 15 and 24 of Stadtwerke Gießen will use alternative stops during this period.
The reason for the temporary closure of the Bahnhof stop is "Hessen's fastest carnival train with Mickie Krause" organised by HIT RADIO FFH. Hessen's craziest carnival train will be travelling through Hessen on Wednesday. The train starts at 14:11 at Giessen main station.
SWG will be setting up replacement stops in Bahnhofstraße in the direction of "Alte Post" for the final and departure stops at the railway station. For passengers travelling in the direction of the station, there will be an alternative bus stop. This is located to the right in front of the main entrance to the railway station, directly in front of the side building. Main/Weserbahn passengers can alight there without any problems. It is not possible to board the train at this stop.
Stadtwerke asks its passengers for their understanding for the temporary relocation of the stop. From Thursday, the station stop will be available to city buses again as usual.
