Waterproof digital camera went to Reiskirchen

Prizes for taking photos, listening to music and reading were awarded last Friday to the winners of this year's holiday games organised by Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG). Michael Rösner (Head of Sales Private and Commercial Customers) congratulated the beaming winners and presented the prizes together with Inge Debus, who is responsible for organising the SWG holiday games.

The main prize, a waterproof digital camera, was won by Daniel Gerber from Reiskirchen. The second prize, an iPod nano, was won by Tom Fischer from Reiskirchen. Loreen Haberstock from Homberg/Ohm was delighted to receive a Thalia voucher worth 50 euros.

Michael Rösner used the prize-giving ceremony to thank the organisers, supervisors and helpers who contributed to the success of the holiday games.

This year, a total of 458 children from 13 towns and municipalities accepted Stadtwerke Gießen AG's invitation to the traditional holiday games at the Queckborn waterworks. In addition to the water-related games of skill, the children were able to take part in an additional competition. Those who paid close attention knew the solution immediately. The SWG employees wanted to know from the participants how much water there is on earth. The municipal utilities drew the three winners from over 230 correct entries.
