"Congratulations - you have won". Six competition participants from the region were delighted to receive a letter from Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) with these pleasing lines. They had won a prize in the SWG competitions in the customer magazine elahn or in the Internet competition. At the beginning of the week, Manfred Siekmann, Chairman of the SWG Management Board, and his colleague on the Management Board, Reinhard Paul, presented the prizes to the winners.
Main prize went to Buseck
The main prize in the elahn competition, 15,000 kilowatt hours of natural gas or 750 euros in cash, was won by Alexander Keitz from Buseck. The second prize, 10,000 kilowatt hours of natural gas or 500 euros in cash, went to Ute Kittel from Giessen. 5,000 kilowatt hours or 250 euros in cash went to Walter Lutz from Giessen. Every participant who filled in the coupon from the last customer magazine and put it in the lottery drum on 9 December, the big anniversary day of the 150-year gas supply, had a chance of winning.
Prizes to take off
There were prizes to be won in the online competition exclusively for customers of Stadtwerke Gießen. Attentive readers recognised a competition on the Internet in the elahn report on SWG's hot air balloon. Anyone who knew the correct solution and clicked on the Internet could win a ride in an SWG hot-air balloon. The three trips for two people each went to Gaby Schroeckh from Heuchelheim, Mechthild Paulus from Allendorf and Csilla Puskás from Linden.
