Last Friday, Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) organised an information event for electrical installation companies. Engineer Frank Rompf, Head of Power Supply Systems at SWG, welcomed the installation companies based in the SWG network area.
The well-attended event focussed on the technical connection conditions (TAB) for the low-voltage grid. "In particular, the TAB define the obligations of the distribution network operator, installer, planner as well as the subscriber and operator of customer installations," explained Frank Rompf. "The new conditions are more logical and easier to understand than the TAB, which has now expired," said Rompf. In addition to the connection conditions, SWG has completely revised the brochure, Planning aids for the Technical Connection Conditions, and given it a modern and attractive design. A specialist speaker presented industry solutions for implementing the new TAB to the participants.
Safety was also a key topic at the event, with visitors receiving useful information on how to avoid damage caused by overvoltage.
Finally, Bernd Debus, foreman in SWG's electricity supply department, explained the cooperation between the electrical installation companies and the municipal utility's house connection department.
