The Giessen Summer of Culture starts in August. SWG is once again supporting this unique event as a premium partner this year.
The countdown is on: From 22 August to 1 September, the Giessen Summer of Culture will once again attract thousands to the historic setting of Schiffenberg Monastery. This year, the organisers have once again succeeded in putting together a varied programme of music and have engaged top-class national and international stars who normally only perform in front of much larger audiences. "We do everything we can to make our artists feel at home. In addition, the special, familiar atmosphere of the location certainly contributes to the fact that industry giants also come to Giessen," says Dennis Bahl, Managing Director of Konzertbüro Bahl GmbH, explaining the attraction of the Schiffenberg and adds: "Eleven days filled with spectacular acts, an exuberant party atmosphere and unforgettable moments await our audience."
In addition to the music, a successful evening on the Schiffenberg also includes a treat or two. Here, too, the organisers make no compromises and consistently rely on the tried and tested concept: a first-class gastronomic offer with high-quality products and regional variety.
Commitment with energy
Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has been a premium partner of the popular event since 2022. "The open-air event on the Schiffenberg has long been known beyond Giessen and is something very special for the region. We are happy to support a festival with this kind of appeal," explains Ulli Boos, company spokesperson for SWG.
SWG not only makes a financial contribution to the success of the Kultursommer. They also lend a helping hand. In fact, the experts from Lahnstrasse provide the necessary electrical power. After all, the spectacular backdrop of historic monastery walls presents the event team with very special challenges: The cables on site are not designed for modern event technology. That's why the SWG specialists set up a powerful power supply for the sound system, the lighting system and the large video walls in the monastery courtyard. "Thanks to the commitment of Stadtwerke, we can be sure that the events will run smoothly again this time," emphasises Markus Urich, Managing Director of the concert office. "We are grateful to be able to count on SWG again."
