Winter attractions on Friday
The history of the infoZentrum on the market square began exactly ten years ago today. Since that day, the employees of Stadtwerke Gießen AG have been available from Monday to Saturday at the infoZentrum to answer customers' questions about energy and water supply and customised mobility in Gießen. To celebrate this anniversary with its customers, the municipal utilities are organising an action day on Friday, 23 January 2004 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of attractions. Anyone who has always wanted to experience a wild descent on skis in Giessen will have the opportunity to do so on Friday. The ski simulator will be ready for a speedy descent in the action area between the market square and the Mäusburg area. Afterwards, visitors can treat themselves to a refreshment in the form of a vitamin cocktail in the igloo tent. Further entertainment is provided by an ice sculptor who conjures up sculptures in the ice. Stadtwerke has also thought of the younger guests and has plenty of surprises in store.
The day of action is also the start of a series of SWG exhibitions in the infoCentre. For each exhibition, the municipal utilities will be giving away attractive prizes worth 500 euros. Customers who visit the infoCentre for advice on the respective exhibition theme can take part in the prize draw and win energy. From January to May, SWG will be offering an insight into its products and advisory services. From Friday, visitors to the infoCentre will find everything they need to know about the use of natural gas in the home for the next four weeks. In March, everything revolves around the number one foodstuff, drinking water. The main topic of this exhibition is the quality of local drinking water. From April, visitors will find information on modern heating technology with a system together with the appropriate energy service. Anyone who was still using a night storage heater yesterday may discover the advantages of a heat pump during the exhibition in May.
