Funding for energy-efficient refurbishment made easy.
Are you planning an energy-efficient refurbishment? Whether on your own initiative or due to legal requirements: The state will support you with various funding programmes to drive forward the climate transition. In addition to various refurbishment measures, the individual refurbishment roadmap (iSFP)1 is also subsidised. In addition to an overview of the necessary measures, this also gives you access to the maximum possible BAFA subsidy for individual efficiency measures (BEG EM) for private households.
The energy efficiency experts at Stadtwerke Gießen use the iSFP to present you with the optimum refurbishment strategy that takes into account both the specific circumstances of the property and your individual wishes. They will also show you the maximum state subsidies available.
1 The state subsidises the individual renovation roadmap with 650 euros (one/two-family house) or 850 euros (houses with 3-6 residential units). With total costs for the iSFP of 1,640 euros or 2,440 euros, your own contribution is no higher than 990 euros or 1,590 euros*.

Renovate cleverly and save costs with the iSFP

The customised refurbishment roadmap includes a detailed analysis of the current energy status of your property and a presentation of suitable refurbishment measures in a sensible sequence in order to save costs in the long term. It also paves the way for the iSFP bonus.
What is the iSFP bonus?
The iSFP bonus rewards owners who carry out an energy-efficient refurbishment of their home in accordance with the individual refurbishment roadmap: They receive a bonus of 5% on top of the regular 15% subsidy for individual BEG measures. In addition, the eligible expenditure is doubled from 30,000 to 60,000 euros per residential unit and year (as of 1 April 2025).
With the iSFP bonus, you can secure up to 12,000 euros in funding per residential unit and year. Contact us on 0641/708-1453!
Minimise heat loss, maximise energy efficiency
The refurbishment of the building envelope (including insulation of the façade, roof, cellar and replacement of windows and doors) plays a key role in the measures subsidised by the iSFP. On the one hand, this is where the greatest savings potential lies. The diagram shows how much you can achieve here with individual measures to the building envelope: it shows the average distribution of heat losses in an unrenovated detached house.
Secondly, the energy-efficient refurbishment of the building envelope is a prerequisite for the efficient use of energy systems such as heat pumps, photovoltaics or solar thermal energy.
Your path to a customised refurbishment roadmap
The individualised refurbishment roadmap provides information on the optimum sequence of refurbishment measures, which can be implemented gradually. You benefit in the long term: the iSFP is valid for 15 years. But don't worry: there is no obligation to implement it.
Initial consultation
Arrange a binding appointment with our energy efficiency experts. To prepare for this meeting, please send us the completed and signed questionnaire in advance - by e-mail to isfp@stadtwerke-giessen.de. This will enable us to provide you with faster and more personalised advice.
At the same time, you apply to BAFA for funding for the iSFP, which we will of course be happy to support you with. We will collect the data on your property on site and work out your individual requirements.
Creation of the individual refurbishment roadmap
The preparation of the iSFP provides you with important information on the individual refurbishment measures and their implementation. At the same time, it lays the foundation for the maximum possible state subsidy for your energy-efficient refurbishment.
Final discussion
At the end of our consultation, you will receive the following documents, which we will explain to you in detail:
- " My refurbishment roadmap" (overview of the current state of the property and the planned refurbishment steps)
- " Implementation aids for my measures" (details on the refurbishment steps, the respective efficiency measures and their eligibility for funding)
