Due to a high sickness rate, Stadtwerke Gießen is having to thin out its regular timetable.
The semester holiday timetable has been in force in Giessen since Monday. This means that line 18 will not be running at all and a large number of the bus services on lines 10, 801 and 801 will be cancelled. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has had to bring forward the arrangements for the lecture-free period because many bus drivers from the subsidiary MIT.BUS GmbH are currently unable to work due to illness. Normally, the semester break timetable would not apply until next week, i.e. from 12 February. Stadtwerke Gießen apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
All information on timetable changes is also available at the Giessen Mobility Centre on the market square, by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or online at www.swg-verkehr.de. Opening hours of the Giessen mobility centre in the SWG customer centre: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.
