"The right heating system for your building" - under this motto, Stadtwerke Gießen informed interested parties on 15 December about current legal requirements regarding energy-efficient new buildings and suitable heating solutions.

For some time now, building owners have had to comply with legal requirements regarding the annual energy requirements of residential buildings. They fulfil the constantly increasing requirements with the help of efficient heating technology, among other things. At an information event on 15 December at the customer centre on Giessen's market square, an energy consultant from Stadtwerke Giessen (SWG) explained the options available on the heating market and which solutions offer the greatest benefits in terms of cost-effectiveness and climate protection.
"There are a variety of ways to heat your home. But not all of them are suitable for every building and some make more sense than others," emphasised the SWG energy consultant during his presentation.
Important questions include: Which energy sources are available, how high is the building's energy requirement and which combinations of renewable energies and conventional heating systems complement each other sensibly? The full cost comparison then provides information on the economic efficiency. All of this needs to be taken into account when planning - regardless of whether it is a new build or a refurbishment.
