Visitors to the Ringallee indoor pool have been able to swim their lengths since 12 August - and have recently been able to use the sauna again. The start of the season was delayed by a few days due to the fire in the outdoor sauna in July and the subsequent clean-up work. "The outdoor sauna remains closed, as we have to completely rebuild it. The sanarium, which has been affected by the fumes, also needs to be refurbished," explains Uwe Volbrecht from the Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) pool management department. However, he promises that the work will be completed as quickly as possible and informs that SWG is reducing prices in the meantime.
For example, a four-hour ticket will cost 10.50 euros instead of 12.50 euros during the reconstruction phase. The same applies to the ladies' sauna on Wednesdays; only additional services such as massages will cost extra. However, there will be no change to the reduced admission - it will remain at 7.50 euros.
While visitors can currently book the wellness day - unlimited sauna time plus a 30-minute massage - the "Lady Wellness Wednesday" is not expected to be offered again until mid-September.

More information on prices, opening times and the offers at the Stadtwerke Gießen pools can be found on the SWG website at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/baeder.
