Public utilities used summer break for renovation

The Ringallee indoor swimming pool has been open again for a week now. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) used the previous four-week summer break for renovation and remodelling work. Uwe Vollbrecht, Deputy Head of Pool Management, explained to the press what work was prioritised this year.

New features:

- The previous baby pool was completely renovated. Instead of the previous pool from 1986, a colourful new GRP pool now adorns the area for the youngest guests. The new pool is equipped with a circumferential overflow channel.

- The house and wheelchair ramp outside the entrance now has a new stainless steel handrail.

- The shower area in the sauna has been re-tiled.

Before the first bathers were able to use the indoor pool again, the municipal utilities carried out the usual maintenance work, such as servicing the shower fittings, the pool water treatment system and the ventilation system.

Admission prices have remained constant. Single admission for adults costs 3.30 euros, reduced admission 2.20 euros.
