Due to a demonstration and the closure of the station forecourt on Sunday, 25 January, buses will not be able to stop at the "Bahnhof" stop in Giessen between 9 am and 6 pm. The closure affects all municipal lines and the surrounding lines. The "Mathematikum" long-distance bus stop in Liebigstraße will be used as an alternative stop.
For this reason, line 2 in the direction of the railway station will run from 8.56 a.m. from the "Oswaldsgarten" stop via Westanlage and then directly via Bahnhofstraße to the "Mathematikum" replacement stop. The "Selterstor" and "Liebigstraße" stops will be cancelled until around 6 pm. The return journey in the direction of Eichendorffring will follow the usual route.
Line 5 will run from the "City Center" stop from 9.09 a.m. on the normal route to the replacement stop "Mathematikum" in Liebigstraße. No diversion is planned in the direction of Wieseck.
The route of line 24 will also remain the same. Passengers can get off at the car park at the end of Bahnhofstraße in Giessen. In the direction of Heuchelheim/Kinzenbach and Wetzlar, buses will depart from the replacement stop "Mathematikum". This regulation also applies to passengers getting on and off the bus who wish to use the other regional buses.
