From next Monday, 15 January 2007, the city buses on line 1 of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will be taking a diversion in Allendorf. Background: The Untergasse is being completely renovated. This construction work is expected to take almost two years (a construction period of 22 months is planned).
Route of the diversion and bus stops
The buses on route 1 will take a diversion via Kleinlindener Straße, Allendorfer Straße and the L 3054 to Lützellinden and back. In Allendorf, the final stop "Triebstraße" will be cancelled. Instead, a replacement stop will be set up in Ehrsamer Weg (above the kindergarten). The "Mehrzweckhalle" stop in Allendorf will be cancelled without replacement. The stops "Schule" in Allendorf and "Schwimmbad" in Lützellinden will be served as usual by route 11.
As the buses need longer to cover the route due to the diversion, SWG have adjusted the timetable from the direction of Lützellinden. The vehicles will leave the final stop "Taunusstraße" in Lützellinden 3 minutes earlier than usual. There are no changes to the existing timetable for journeys to and from Allendorf or in the direction of Lützellinden. After the "Am Zehntfrei" stop, buses will simply travel via Am Zehntfrei and Ehrsamer Weg to the replacement stop "Triebstraße". From there, the buses will run at the usual times.
Passengers can obtain further information by calling 0641 708-1400 or from the mobility centre in the infoZentrum on Marktplatz. The mobility centre is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00.
Stadtwerke asks its passengers for their understanding in the event of any delays.
