SWG bus route 2 and VGO buses on route 220 are running on the usual route again.

Giessen. From Tuesday, 1 November, the SWG buses and the line 2 taxi as well as the VGO bus line 220 will return to the usual stops in Licher Straße. The diversion in the direction of the railway station via Anneröder Weg will be cancelled. From 31 October, i.e. after around 20 months, the completely renovated Licher Straße will be open to traffic in and out of the city. "Our passengers can now get on and off the bus again at the Fasanenweg, Graudenzer Straße, Friedensstraße, Lutherberg and Nahrungsberg stops - as they were used to until February 2010," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at Stadtwerke Gießen. Some of the bus shelters at the bus stops are already in place. The remaining ones will be erected in the coming weeks.

Licher Straße renewed
Since February 2010, the city of Giessen has had the road surface on Licher Straße, which was in need of renovation, renewed. Stadtwerke Giessen also laid new supply lines for electricity, gas, water and district heating as part of the renovation work.

Opening hours of the mobility centre: Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
