From Friday 16 February from 4 p.m. up to and including Sunday 18 February, the Heuchelheim Ost, Bahnstraße, Ludwig-Rinn-Straße and Haag stops in Heuchelheim will not be available for city buses. Line 24 of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will use alternative stops during this period. The reason for the city buses taking a diversion route is the complete closure of the Heuchelheim through road. At the intersection of Gießener Straße, Bachweg and Marktstraße, the road will be closed due to roadworks. On Shrove Tuesday, route 24 will also take this diversions due to the carnival parade.
Routing from Gießen
City buses travelling from Gießen in the direction of Kinzenbach and Wetzlar will depart from the Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße stop to the Wilhelmstraße replacement stop in Rodheimer Straße and turn into Brauhausstraße at the Schunk company. From there, the buses will head to the Hammerpfad stop via the alternative stop at the corner of Mühlstraße and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße.
Routing from Kinzenbach
Coming from Kinzenbach, the city buses depart from the Hammerpfad stop to the replacement stop on the corner of Friedrich-Ebert-Straße and Mühlstraße. Shrove Tuesday
Line 24 will follow this diversion route again on Tuesday, 20 February from 1 pm to 5 pm. The reason for this is the carnival parade in Heuchelheim.
