Change from the city bus to the scheduled taxi at the Graudenzer Straße stop

From Monday, 18 May, the timetable for the scheduled taxi service will be extended from the Graudenzer Straße stop to the Automeile. As announced by Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG), the scheduled taxi service is a useful addition to the existing regional bus service from the railway station to Lich (line 220), which runs every 60 minutes. The route runs from the "Graudenzer Straße" stop to the newly established "Kreisverwaltung" stop and on to the "Automeile Süd" stop. Employees and visitors, who can use either the 220 bus or the number 2 bus with a change to the regular taxi service, can thus reach the district administration approximately every 30 minutes. The "Automeile" bus stop is available for the return journey to the city centre, from where the buses on line 220 and the line 2 taxi depart. According to Stadtwerke Gießen AG, the extension of the existing timetable to the Europaviertel in trial operation is intended to determine the demand for public transport between the railway station or city centre and the Automeile. Stadtwerke Gießen is also planning to install a bus shelter to provide passengers on this busy road with protection from the weather.

Further information on the timetable is available at the mobility centre in the infoCentre on the market square. The timetable is also available for download at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de. The mobility centre is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
