There are still places available at the Stadtwerke Gießen football camp. Girls and boys with a passion for football who want to spend five days in July learning lots of useful skills from experienced coaches can still register until 24 July.

Kicking, dribbling, scoring goals: From 25 to 29 July, the Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) football camp goes into the next round. All football enthusiasts between the ages of six and 15 are invited to secure one of the 60 places available. As in previous years, the training camp of the Junior Football Academy Mittelhessen will take place at the sports ground in Pohlheim-Garbenteich. And, of course, Stadtwerke is once again involved as a sponsor.

Learning from professionals
The children train for five hours a day - from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - and are taught technique, coordination and tactics by licenced coaches. The focus of the training week is on learning new dribbling techniques and improving coordination. An age-appropriate goalkeeper training programme awaits the goalkeepers.
"And to make sure there is no shortage of fun, the training programme also includes team competitions and tournaments in which the children compete against each other in different age groups," explains Stephanie Orlik, who is responsible for sponsorship at SWG. Sufficient food and drinks are of course provided. At the end of the camp, each child receives a gift and a certificate. And as a little surprise, there are tickets for a Bundesliga football match to be won.
