From Thursday, 25 January 2007, buses on lines 5 and 12 operated by Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will have to move from the Behördenzentrum stop to an alternative stop. Due to the construction work at Berliner Platz - where the new town hall of the city of Giessen will be built - the bus stop will be relocated. The city buses on routes 5 and 12 will have an alternative stop in both directions. For buses travelling in the direction of Wieseck, including regional routes 51 and 520, the bus stop will be located around 100 metres behind the previous stop, at the main entrance to the district administration office. In the direction of Marktplatz, the buses will stop at Stadttheater instead of the previous stop at Behördenzentrum. The journey times will remain the same - they will not change.
The SWG line 15 will continue to stop at the Behördenzentrum stop. Regional bus services are also unaffected by the relocation of stops in the direction of Johanneskirche: the Behördenzentrum stop will remain unchanged for regional routes 51, 140 and 520 operated by Verkehrsgesellschaft Oberhessen (VGO) and Regionalverkehr Kurhessen (RKH).
Passengers can obtain further information by calling 0641 708-1400 or at the mobility centre in the infoZentrum on Marktplatz.
The mobility centre is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
Stadtwerke asks its passengers for their understanding regarding the relocation of the stop.
