Grand prize: travel voucher for 600 euros

On Tuesday afternoon, the prize-giving ceremony for the competition held to mark 100 years of local public transport in November took place at the mobility centre in the infoZentrum of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG). The municipal utilities drew three prizes worth over 1,000 euros from around 1,500 participants. Anne Müller-Kreutz (Head of Local Transport Services) congratulated the lucky winners at a small prize-giving ceremony.

Main prize stays in Giessen

The main prize, a travel voucher for two people worth 600 euros, was won by Marianne Sperling from Giessen. Manfred Weimer from Lohra won a hot air balloon ride for two worth 300 euros.

Elisabeth Merten from Giessen was delighted to receive a 10-person ticket for wellness massages at the Ringallee bathing centre and a sauna guide to Central Hessen worth 150 euros.

The winners had taken part in the competition as part of the promotion day. Stadtwerke Gießen wanted to know when local public transport began in Gießen. The correct answer was 20 November 1909.
